Hiteco & Pertici Industries: Tilt JQX birotary head for the new P5 machine

At the end of 2018 Pertici Industries, with the vision to expand its range of machining centers dedicated to the world of aluminum, began the development of the 5-axis series with the aim of satisfying not only the needs of the window and door sector but also those in the industrial sector: a compartment where aluminum finds many applications. 

THE TILT JQX BIROTARY HEAD FOR THE NEW P5 MACHINES 

The new Pertici Industries CNC - called P5 - enters the mid-range segment in 5-axis machines. For milling, this CNC required a birotary head with three fundamental features:

  1. Compactness
  2. Power range
  3. Positioning accuracy

The Tilt JQX series proposed by Hiteco represented the right compromise: offering an excellent layout with reduced dimensions and pivot of rotation, a range of powers suited to the needs of workability both with standard tools and with cutting blades, positioning and smooth rotation thanks to precise gearboxes.

Some other elements that strengthened the choice of this birotary head were: the brushless motors with absolute encoder, the 6-pole electrospindle with 10,000 rpm torque, the axis positioning speed and the low weight.
